That’s right, Young & Restless fans, the stars are aligning for a twist no one will see coming… and it involves none other than Diane Jenkins. But she’s not the only one. Keep reading to get the details on a totally unexpected development that will send a bunch of characters for a real loop!
As discussed in our latest Young & Restless soapbox, Jack is in for a big wake-up call on a few fronts. Business, family, and his marriage!
Looking back, although Jack took Diane’s side when she fired their son Kyle, there’s been tension building in their home thanks to the broken ties in the family.
Add to the mix Jack and Diane’s suspicion that Victor is using their son against them, and emotions began running even higher.
Not helping matters, was Billy’s jab at Jack that word on the street is that he’s losing power to his wife at Jabot.
The older sibling brushed it off, but the point was later driven home when Diane informed Jack that they needed to make a new hire to replace Kyle at the company.
Jack expressed concern that such a move would not be conducive to making peace with their son, and Diane steamrolled right over his objections!
The preview for next week has Diane exploding at Jack in public and accusing him of refusing to fully believe that she’s changed from her former manipulative self.
Things that make you go, “Hmm…” Perhaps Jack’s intuition is onto something.
As it turns out, Jack’s about to get another huge eye-opener as Young & Restless has perfectly set up an unimaginable twist.
Diane is bent on replacing Kyle with or without Jack’s blessing… so what if she goes ahead and does it?
What if she brings someone into Jabot that not only Jack wouldn’t want there, but whose hiring would make Kyle’s blood boil?!
Do you see yet where this is going? Kyle’s former business partner, Audra Charles, is out of a job and looking to make her next big move.
Kyle was the one who got her fired, so what better revenge than to end up in his former position at his own family’s firm?!
“But,” you’re thinking. “Diane loathes Audra Charles.” It’s true. In fact, we saw them have an altercation just last week.
However, that’s where the unbelievable twist comes in. We’re certain Diane is going to hire Audra to fill Kyle’s COO position at Jabot. No one will see it coming… including Diane and Audra themselves.
But all it will take to pave the way for this alliance is another run in between the two women, and for Audra to reveal that she’s not in fact “digging her claws” into Kyle, she’s actully on the outs with him.
Diane is nothing if not cunning, and will see the advantage in having a former Glissade insider come on board right as the two companies are about to go to war.
Audra, for her part, has nowhere left to turn if she wants to stay in Genoa City to date Nate. She’s burned her bridges at every other powerhouse in town. Plus, she’ll love sticking it to Kyle.
Jack, meanwhile, will be not only blindsided, but furious with his wife for fanning the flames with their son, and Kyle will be apoplectic to the point that even Claire won’t be able to sweet talk him down. We say, “Bring it on!”
