Bold & Beautiful’s ‘Cope’ a Red Herring? The *Real* Storyline May Be Way More Shocking
The Bold and the Beautiful may finally be giving Carter a storyline that’s as hot as his affair with Quinn — but, despite appearances, it isn’t with Hope.
Even as this week, the co-workers’ lust for one another grows, the pieces have been put in place for the show to pull the rug out from under them — and us, too.
How? You’ll recall that recently Carter mentioned that yeah, he dates around.
Bold & Beautiful just doesn’t bother to follow any of his trysts with women who are not Forrester Creations colleagues like Maya, Zoe, Paris or Katie.
But that doesn’t mean that those hookups haven’t happened.
So imagine Carter’s shock — and Hope’s — when just as they have moved beyond HR violations in the workplace to start a real relationship, a woman from his past comes forward to introduce him to Carter Jr.
She hadn’t told him that she was pregnant, because by the time she’d found out, their fling had ended.
She’d intended to raise the baby alone but had discovered that she needed a hand.
Carter manages to juggle his new responsibilities — and connection to his ex — without turning Hope into a green-eyed monster.
He thinks he’s got it all figured out. But then another old flame comes forward with a baby in tow. Suddenly, we get the idea that the soap’s stand-up guy has a lowdown streak.
Would that cause Hope to run in the other direction? Or, given her own naughty side — and she does have one, right, Finn? — would she consider it a sign that maybe she can understand Carter better than any other woman.
