The Major Clue Chance Missed in Heather’s Death On Young and the Restless

It’s been almost a week since Daniel identified Heather’s body on The Young and the Restless. He is devastated. Lucy is devastated. Phyllis is reminding everyone that she is devastated.

Paul is so devastated he had a heart attack. But there’s a bit of good news! Chance is on the case! Daniel is happy to hear it and will cooperate with the law to the best of his ability.

Young & Restless Recap: Daniel Identifies Heather's Dead Body

We believe that Chance means well. But we’re scratching our heads over the major clue he seems to have missed — or is completely ignoring as being relevant.

Conspiracy Theory

Daniel, Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant), Nick (Joshua Morrow), Summer (Allison Lanier), and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) are all trying to figure out what happened.

On the October 8 episode, they wondered if Heather (Vail Bloom) may have been taking an innocent walk by the river in the middle of the night when she was set upon by a mugger who accidentally killed her, stole her phone, and, in a panic, dumped her body in the water.

That would have been one theory…if it weren’t for the fact that Heather was found wrapped in a blanket or a sheet of some sort.

Weapon of Convenience

It already stretches the imagination to believe that your average mugger is walking around with a handy blanket/sheet/rug in which to wrap an accidental victim.

But has no one thought to identify the blanket/sheet/rug? Once they do, won’t they know that it came from Daniel and Heather’s home?

Do they think that Heather was taking an innocent walk by the river in the middle of the night when she was set upon by a mugger who accidentally killed her — while carrying a handy blanket/sheet/rug? Seriously?

Third-Party

Obviously, if Chance (Conner Floyd — who just showed off a major change) believes that Heather was seeing someone by the river, if she was having an affair, then, yes, maybe she brought a blanket/sheet/rug from home atop to engage in her affair. But that would be relevant information, too, wouldn’t it?

We’re just really confused as to why everyone is carrying on like Heather wasn’t found wrapped up. Which suggests something other than, a simple accident, no
