The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 9, reveals that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will spend some time with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) at the coffeehouse, but they’ll wonder if they’re keeping her from plans with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

Claire will seem uncomfortable at the mention of Kyle’s name before taking off to the craft store for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).

Victoria will worry she might’ve soured Claire on relationships due to spilling about her own heartbreak.

Cole will realize that’s why Victoria has been holding back with their own relationship, but he’ll assure her that no man would ever break her heart again if he had his way.

After Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) send Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) off for his dinner with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), they’ll discuss their nanny problem since Petra is quitting.

Tessa and Mariah will eventually summon Claire to ask her to be Aria Porter-Copeland’s (Maddie and Millie Ingle) new nanny, so Claire will agree to think about it.

Since Harrison is in school and doesn’t need her as much, Claire will consider taking care of Aria.

Afterward, Claire will give Victoria and Cole updates on the nanny offer, but she’ll be reluctant to commit since she might want to take a job working for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

Once Cole leaves, Claire will suggest Victoria should ask him to move in with them at the tack house. Victoria will think maybe it’s too soon, but Claire will be pleased that she at least didn’t say no.

At the cottage, Sharon will get all dressed up and wear the earrings Nick gave her once upon a time. Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will like seeing Sharon all dolled up and happy, so she’ll give her a bracelet to match the earrings.

Nevertheless, “Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) will warn Sharon that she’s not out of the woods yet.

Although “Cameron” will push Sharon to alert the cops to the evidence in Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) apartment, she’ll insist that tonight is about reconnecting with Nick.

Nick will eventually arrive wearing the same casual clothes from earlier and feel underdressed compared to Sharon. After Sharon suggests she’s got a new outlook that involves wearing nice things when she wants to, Nick will approve.

Faith will start to like the thought of her parents possibly getting back together on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, but Mariah and Tessa will seem uneasy when she mentions it later.

At the GCAC, Nick will realize those are the earrings he gave Sharon years ago.

Sharon will also recall the first restaurant Nick ever took her to as they stroll down memory lane.

Sharon will play up how Nick puts her at ease and will act like therapy is going well, too.

Nick will seem pleased over seeing Sharon in a better place – and she’ll thank him for supporting Faith when she was going through a rough patch.

Back at Sharon’s house, she’ll kiss Nick when he drops her off and apologize if she misread the moment.

Nick will insist she didn’t misread anything before the clothes start coming off and they hit the sofa for some passion.

However, “Cameron” will snap Sharon out of the fantasy and make it clear that Nick actually gave her a hug from the driveway!

We’ll see “Cameron” once again urge Sharon to focus on the cover-up or else she could get arrested.

At Daniel’s place, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will admit there was a sophisticated app on Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) phone that blocked their ability to trace it and messed with the locations.

The last legit place it was traced to was that apartment.

Chance will ask to speak with Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), but Daniel will be against the idea at first. Once Chance offers reassurance that he’ll take it easy on Lucy, Daniel will let her answer some questions.

Lucy will blame herself for not going to Portugal when Heather wanted to go and act like she was a bratty daughter.

Lucy will also mention the faceoffs with Sharon as a reason why Heather might’ve wanted to get away.

Once Chance starts asking about Daniel and any arguments he might’ve had with Heather about moving, Lucy will get upset.

It’ll leave Lucy thinking that Chance is pointing the finger at Daniel, but she’ll insist her dad isn’t to blame for any of this.

Chance will contend that he’s just trying to get the big picture and establish a timeline, but Daniel will think they’re all questioned out for tonight.

After Chance says he has one more person to question, he’ll shock Sharon by showing up at her door and admitting this is about Heather.
