Janelle Brown is adamant that Kody Brown is responsible for his estrangement from the family. Kody believes he is innocent, and not responsible for any distance between himself and his family. Kody is upset that he is not included in his daughter Madison’s third pregnancy. Janelle was quick to slam Kody and she called him out for his behavior that led to the situation.
Janelle Blames Kody
The TLC series Sister Wives has shown a lot of drama between the members of the Brown family and patriarch Kody Brown.
Kody has been estranged from many of his older children for several years. Now Kody is upset that he is not being included in his daughter Madison’s third pregnancy.
Kody’s ex-wife Janelle Brown states that this is Kody’s fault. She said that it is his own behavior that has resulted in the disconnect between Kody and his children.
During the Sunday, October 6 episode of Sister Wives Kody Brown expressed his displeasure that he was not informed of daughter Madison’s pregnancy with her husband Caleb Brush.
Janelle Brown, Madison’s mom, said that her dad Kody had no right to be upset given his behavior in the past.
Janelle said “The only thing the kids are upset with is the way he has treated the family, the way he has completely ditched out.
And really, Maddie doesn’t have any contact with them.” Janelle revealed that when she refers to “them” she means Kody and his only remaining wife Robyn.
Kody Ditched The Family
During her brother Logan’s wedding Madison avoided her dad Kody Brown. Kody is upset and commented “You saw the way Madison took her kids and scuttled them away from me.
She never told me she’s going to have a baby.” Janelle came to Madison’s defense, she said he was responsible for the estrangement from his children.
Janelle said “Kody has not been there since Evie was born, and Evie is three and a half. And she didn’t just want him to drop in and be like, ‘Oh, I’m your grandpa!’ and them be like, ‘What?
Who is this guy?’” It sounds like Madison is protecting her kids from an absentee family member.
Kody Brown refused to take any responsibility for the bad relationship with his kids and grandkids. Instead, he blamed Madison for the rift.
Kody blamed Madison and her husband Caleb for moving to North Carolina. He said it was an “unrealistic expectation for grandparents to be in the grandchildren’s lives, especially if you move your children to an entirely different coast.” Apparently Kody Brown has never heard of an airplane.
Kody Says He’s Being Punished
Kody Brown has been vocal that he believes that some of his children, including Madison, are retaliating against him.
He believes that the kids are responsible for driving a wedge between him and his ex-wife Janelle Brown. Kody said “They’re purposefully leaving me out of their lives to punish me for a crime I did not commit.
I am only guilty of not falling madly in love with their mothers,” he continued “Well, Madison actually called Janelle saying, “Dad said he didn’t love you.’”
The drama with his children has been impacting his only remaining marriage to wife Robyn Brown.
Robyn said she “Was putting pressure on Kody to work on his relationships with his kids, and it triggered him, and it upset him.” Kody refuses to take any responsibility for his actions and the estrangement from his children.
Janelle Brown recently celebrated daughter Madison’s fourth pregnancy with husband Caleb.
Janelle shared on her Instagram that she was “Pretty dang excited.” She continued “What a wild year! Looks like 2025 might be a little crazy too! Baby Brush #4 coming March 2025,” she announced in her stories.
