The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman has been consumed by a deep longing to return to the life she once shared with Nick.

After years of watching him from a distance, hoping their past connection could be rekindled, Sharon believed that Nick still cared for her in a way that went beyond co-parenting.

Their shared history, their children, and the countless moments that tied them together made her convinced that a part of Nick still loved her.

Sharon saw the signs everywhere—every kind gesture, every time Nick stopped by to check on her felt like confirmation that her feelings were reciprocated.

She decided it was time to make a bold move, to step beyond her hesitations and fears.

Sharon wanted to show Nick that they could be happy again. With that in mind, she made a daring decision—she would propose to him.

The evening was set. Sharon invited Nick over under the pretense of discussing their children, but her true intentions were far deeper.

As the conversation shifted from daily logistics to more personal matters, Sharon finally found the courage to lay her heart bare.

“Nick,” she began, her voice soft but filled with hope, “I know we’ve been through so much together, and I feel like we’ve always been connected.

I love you. I’ve always loved you. I think we could be happy again. I want us to try again—will you marry me?”

Nick froze, the weight of Sharon’s words hitting him like a ton of bricks. But not in the way she had hoped. His heart belonged to Phyllis.

Though he cared for Sharon as the mother of his children, he couldn’t imagine rekindling their romantic relationship.

As Sharon gazed at him with hopeful eyes, Nick struggled to find the right words to let her down gently.

“Sharon, I care about you, I really do,” he said carefully, “but I’m in love with Phyllis. You’re an amazing mother, and we’ll always share a bond, but I can’t give you what you want.”

Sharon’s face fell. Her hope and determination quickly turned to something darker.

A flicker of desperation crossed her eyes, and in a moment of sheer madness, she confessed a dark secret she had kept hidden for far too long.

“I killed Heather,” Sharon whispered, her voice shaking. “I killed her and dumped her body. I’ve been carrying this secret for so long, and I don’t know what to do anymore.”

Nick’s heart skipped a beat. The room suddenly felt smaller, the air thicker. He stared at Sharon, disbelief washing over him. Could it be true? Had Sharon really killed Heather? Her eyes, filled with a mix of fear and guilt, told him it was.

Before Nick could respond, Sharon grabbed his hands, her grip tight and pleading. “Please, Nick, don’t tell anyone. I’m begging you. You can’t tell the police. For our children’s sake, keep this between us,” she pleaded.

Nick, still in shock, nodded absentmindedly, but his mind was racing. In a split second, as Sharon continued her tearful confession, Nick made a decision.

Discreetly, he reached for his phone and pressed the record button. He needed proof.

Young & Restless Recap: Nick and Sharon Learn Cameron Approached Faith

For months, he had suspected Sharon might have been involved in Heather’s disappearance, but he had never had solid evidence—until now.

As Sharon finished her tearful plea, Nick slipped his phone back into his pocket, his mind swirling with conflicting emotions.

He wanted to help Sharon, but how could he, knowing she had just admitted to murder? What would happen if the truth came out?

Their children could lose their mother, and Nick could lose Sharon in a way more permanent than before.

Later that night, alone with his thoughts, Nick replayed the recording, hearing Sharon’s voice crack as she confessed the crime. It was real.

He had everything he needed to go to the police and ensure that Sharon paid for what she had done. But doubt crept into his mind—was that really the best course of action?

If Nick turned Sharon in, their children’s lives would be devastated. Was he ready to deal with the fallout of sending the mother of his children to prison?

There was another option—he could use the recording as leverage, a way to ensure Sharon got help.

He could confront her, force her to seek psychiatric treatment to make sure she never harmed anyone again. But could he live with himself knowing he let a murderer walk free?

The next morning, Nick stood outside Phyllis’s house. She was the one person he trusted completely, the one who could help him make sense of this mess.

But could he really tell her the truth? Could he share something so dark without it tearing them apart?

As Nick stood at Phyllis’s door, his mind raced. Should he hand the recording over to the police and let them handle it?

Should he confide in Phyllis and seek her guidance? Or should he confront Sharon directly, giving her one last chance to make things right before the world found out?
