Meri Brown BLASTS Kody’s “Midlife Crisis,” DISTURBING REALITY About ROBYN’s AGE in SHOCKING NEW

This will be an interesting episode because at the end of last season, we saw Cody, Robyn, and Meri out on Coyote Pass doing a three-way breakup, which was so awkward and strange.

Sister Wives' Robyn Cries as Kody and Meri End Marriage in Front of Her

Robyn had a complete meltdown while Cody and Meri were calm. Robyn ended up having a catastrophic temper tantrum, screaming and wailing that this wasn’t what she wanted. She dreamed of sitting on the porch with her sister wives, kids, and grandkids.

She had a vision of being a goddess in heaven with Cody because she was the fourth wife. In the world of polygamy, all you need is three wives to reach the highest levels of the kingdom. As each woman left, Robyn’s dream of her eternity dwindled.

Now, just to be clear, eternity means she would also be able to bring her kids with her. But if you’re questioning how this works, like how Cody would get his own planet and Robyn would need him to go to that planet—considering Robyn was born to a father who apparently had his own planet and was promised eternity there—it’s complicated.

What happens when her kids get married and become polygamists and get their own planets? Wouldn’t her eternity and their planets be separated?

This is the problem with their belief system—it makes zero sense. The math doesn’t add up, but they don’t allow themselves to critically think about it. Robyn’s sadness could also be related to her belief that in heaven, she will be with her kids forever.

Sneak Peek: Why Kody Thinks 'It's Not Safe' for Him to Be With Meri : r/TLCsisterwives

Meri is coming down hard on Cody about his behavior. She took a dig at Robyn’s age, which was unexpected. Cody Brown is 56 years old; Robyn Brown is 45 years old; Meri is 53.

When Cody married Meri, he was 21, and Meri was 19. Robyn was only 10 at the time. Meri seems to imply that Cody and she were already starting a family when Robyn was still a child, making it clear that Robyn wouldn’t have been able to start a family back then.

So, is Cody going through a midlife crisis? Here are some signs and symptoms, according to Forbes Health: anxiety, abrupt career or lifestyle changes, behavioral changes, depression, changes in romantic relationships, dramatic changes in appearance, excessive indecisiveness, and many more. Cody seems to be checking almost all of these boxes.

If that’s what he’s dealing with, it’s kind of sad. At the same time, he could get help for it, but he probably won’t because he’s a narcissist and stuck in his belief system.

Meri is basically saying what everyone else thinks: Cody is going through a midlife crisis, which we’ve known since 2010.

Cody’s had a change in his faith, and he’s in the middle of deconstructing his life. He’s been indoctrinated since birth, and it’s hard to leave such a rigid belief system. Cody can’t leave his wives because of his faith commitments, so he takes steps to make it impossible for them to be with him.

In the real world, if they weren’t on TV, Cody would have just abandoned Meri, and no one would have known the wiser. He would have continued his life with Robyn, while Meri, Janelle, and Christine would have been left out, as is common in such polygamist cultures. Cody underestimated the strength of these women, and now that they have left him, he’s shocked.

So, is Cody’s midlife crisis driving his behavior? Meri certainly seems to think so, and it aligns with many of the signs of such a crisis. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below!
