Chrisley Knows Best

OMG! Nanny Faye discloses that her bladder cancer is currently in a state of remission!

Thankfully, I am in remission and have been doing my best while out and about. The 80-year-old Nanny Faye Chrisley’s illness has stabilized. This news was disclosed on Wednesday during an appearance on the most recent episode of *The Southern Tea*, a PodcastOne series hosted by her granddaughter, Lindsie Chrisley.

The health update was optimistic, as Nanny Faye had received a diagnosis of bladder cancer in 2021. “I am fortunate each and every day. The grandchildren treat me well. I adore every single one of them,” Nanny Faye declared. “In regard to my health, it is common knowledge that I have bladder cancer. Thankfully, I am in remission. I’ve been out and about performing the best that I could.”

Lindsie expressed her joy, saying, “That fills me with immense joy. I am certain that every member of our family experienced an equally euphoric sensation when I received the phone call informing me that your scans were impeccable.” She then inquired with her grandmother about her future treatment plans.

Nanny Faye exclaimed with relief, “My PET scan was unambiguous—no cancer anywhere! Therefore, I was exempt from my subsequent treatment. However, I am required to return in three months for a follow-up evaluation. Should all indications be positive, we shall proceed.”

Lindsie continued, “I adore that. In February, Nanny Faye disclosed on her Unlocked podcast to her granddaughter Savannah Chrisley that she was in excellent spirits despite enduring cancer treatments. ‘I am superb. When the world does not provide you with a high-quality deck of playing cards, you make the best of the situation through your actions,’ she advised. ‘Get up, brush yourself off, and continue on. I retire and awaken early each night. It improves one’s health, affluence, and wisdom.'”

Savannah extolled her grandmother, describing her as a champ during chemotherapy. “She would get her chemo treatment, the next day she would be down for the count, and then after that, she’d be in the car on the way to the casino,” Savannah remarked.

The 26-year-old *Growing Up Chrisley* star then noted that Nanny Faye’s absence since Todd and Julie Chrisley began serving their prison sentences for tax fraud has likely been challenging. “If we’re being candid, everyone knows your parents were your primary caregivers,” Savannah stated.

Nanny Faye acknowledged, “It’s been extremely difficult. During every treatment for my bladder cancer, my cherished daughter-in-law was present. She never missed a single moment. Through it all, she’s been with me.”

Todd, 54, first discussed his mother’s diagnosis on his *Chrisley Confessions* podcast in June 2022. “My mother was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. Consequently, she is undergoing treatment.

We have been dealing with that treatment on a weekly basis,” he explained, adding that she had planned to keep her battle private until the fall of 2021. “I would ask that people respect that she is 77 years old and that she is in a battle for her life,” Todd stated. “At that particular moment, I engage in daily and frequent supplications that God maintains a healing hand upon her. Everyone experiences adversity. We are not any different in this regard.”

Although the Chrisleys have not disclosed many details regarding Nanny Faye’s prognosis, bladder cancer predominantly affects the elderly. The American Cancer Society reports that approximately nine out of 10 individuals diagnosed with bladder cancer are aged 55 or older.
