Days of our Lives June 18: Here’s Why Alex And Leo Are Making Huge Mistakes

After much soul-searching, Alex came to a conclusion, and surprisingly, Theresa had the same epiphany on the June 18 episode of Days of Our Lives. Plus, Leo met a (somewhat) familiar face and later made a surprising decision. Of course, these moments could lead to some huge mistakes.

Alex Turned A Corner

Marlena (Deidre Hall) spread a lot of love on this DAYS episode. Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) went to her and confided his thought process and his relationships with Kristen (Stacey Haiduk) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien).

During his session with her, he revealed that after much contemplation about his life, he’s in love with Theresa, making Marlena happy that he’s progressing despite what she may secretly think about the woman.

Alex met up with Theresa later at Horton Square and eventually came clean about his feelings. Theresa also admitted that she loved him as well, and she seemed sincere about it.

But Alex had explained to Marlena that he’d heard the stories about his girlfriend’s misdeeds and decided not to let that sway him. He might be making a huge mistake because not only has she been working to bilk him out of his inheritance, but she also has deeper feelings for Brady (Eric Martsolf).

But perhaps she’s changed her tune and may decide that since Konstantin’s (John Kapelos) death, there’s no need for a money-grabbing scheme, and she could simply be happy with Alex.

Even if that does happen, when the truth eventually comes out about her involvement with the late villain, he’ll toss her like a hot potato.

Leo’s Encounter Gave Us Flashbacks

At Horton Square, Leo (Greg Rikaart) bumped into someone he hadn’t just yet: Theresa. As fans may recall, she played Leo’s bestie and partner-in-scheming, Gwen Rizczech.

There was a fun familiarity in this encounter that reminded us about the chemistry the two actors have and the fun times that may yet happen.

She had heard of Leo (making the scene less expository, thankfully), and the seed has been planted for the two to start sharing more scenes togethe.

However, Leo’s been trying to become a better person, and with a friend like her, all his work may go down the drain if she involves him in yet another hair-brained scheme.

Later, Leo got an appointment with Marlena and talked about the damage his mother caused by telling him he was unlovable his whole life. Marlena proclaimed him “eminently lovable,” much to his surprise and happiness.

He was so moved by her words that when she left the room for something, he grabbed his phone and called Statesville prison to set up a visitation with his mother.

Whether he’s either going to confront her and tell her that her abuse has no more effect on him, or he’s simply going to spread love back despite her awful ways, we’re hoping their visit happens on-screen so we can enjoy the great Judith Chapman’s wonderful presence! Sure, it might be a mistake for Leo, but it would be a win for viewers.
