Susan Seaforth Hayes, beloved as Julie Olson Williams, is opening up about her life, following the passing of her husband, Bill Hayes, who plays Doug. The Days of our Lives actress is revealing what’s helping her the most during this time in her life.

Seaforth Hayes sat down with Canadian journalist Harvey Brownstone, a retired judge of the Ontario Court of Justice, to open up about her life today.

One of the many topics the actress discussed on Harvey Brownstone Interviews was dealing with her life following her husband’s passing in January.

“How do we lose the most important thing in life and how do we handle it?” Seaforth Hayes asked. “My marriage was the most important thing in my life.

“During Billy’s decline, Billy was the most important thing in my life,” she continued. “And since we have a large family, I inherited more than 45 people that I can call granddaughter, grandson, son, [or] uncle — all of that.”

While Susan Seaforth Hayes says those beloved family members are scattered all across the United States, her DAYS family is located nearby at the Burbank Studios.

“The show has become very important to me in the last few months,” the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement honoree says, “mainly, because I have been treated so beautifully by my coworkers and I want to do them proud, and I want to do the show proud.”

Later this year, a host of DAYS favorites are set to return to Salem to help honor Bill Hayes when Doug’s passing is written into the show.
