Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will do whatever it takes to follow up on his new Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller) lead.
Chad and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) weren’t able to see the face of the mystery woman (AnnaLynne McCord) in captivity – nor do they have any idea where she’s being held or if she’s still there at all.
There are just too many unanswered questions right now, so Chad will hope to change that soon enough.
Clyde Weston (James Read) is in solitary confinement and can’t have visitors, but could Chad bribe his way to one last meeting with him?
That’s a possibility to consider – though there’s no way to know for sure whether Clyde will offer up any additional info.
Clyde can be fickle when it comes to what he shares and how truthful he is on any given day.
Whatever the case, there wouldn’t be much of a story if the mystery woman was held hostage forever, so Chad will inevitably manage to free her sooner or later.
Perhaps Chad can get Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) involved in the search, which could lead to the ISA’s involvement as well.
One way or another, the puzzle pieces will click into place so that Chad can break the mystery woman out if she’s still at that spot.
It’s easy to imagine Chad bursting in the door with tears in his eyes and exclaiming that it’s really Abigail.
However, there’s a twist brewing since we know there’ll ultimately be some doubts over whether this is indeed Abby.
It’s baffling that the show chose to go in this direction since they apparently couldn’t get Marci Miller back.
A lookalike story seems kind of ridiculous if the actress doesn’t look like anyone viewers have ever seen before.
Nevertheless, this should be a scenario where to Chad and all Abigail’s other loved ones, this recast looks exactly the same.
Chad may be fully convinced it’s Abigail at the sight of her, but she may insist he’s quite mistaken!
DOOL fans will recall that when Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) first saw Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash), she was also convinced he was Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) – who was supposedly deceased at the time.
Gabi eventually found out that Jake was Stefan’s twin, so looks can be deceiving in situations like this and the one Chad’s about to face.
The mystery woman may have another name she goes by and turn out to be a twin or doppelganger instead.
It’s worth mentioning that McCord was originally announced to be playing a Days character called “Marin,” so we’ll see if that’s her name or if she ends up with a different one.
Of course, Days is always full of twists and turns, so McCord could ultimately be revealed as Abigail if she’s faced some sort of brainwashing.
There’s always flexibility in wild soap stories, so it’ll be interesting to see how things play out down the road.
