Days of Our Lives: Greg Vaughan Talks About Working With Baby Jude

It was a wonderful day on Days of Our Lives when Nicole was finally reunited with her son, Jude, after months of separation. However, it wasn’t devoid of heartbreak either. Because, as Nicole was once again with her son, it meant Eric had to part ways with him. All because neither of them yet knows that Jude is also Eric’s bio-child.

The heartache of the separation is so severe that Eric has now decided to leave Salem. That truly goes on to say how much he loves baby Jude.

In fact, even in reality, actor Greg Vaughan has grown quite fond of Jude’s portrayer – Oliver McLarty. “I developed a very quick connection with that baby, that little boy,” he recently told Soap Opera Digest.

Greg just couldn’t stop gushing about the pint-sized star as he pointed just how cute and playful the little baby was.

The Days of Our Lives star even narrated a fun incident from the soap’s sets. He revealed that once while filming, Arianne was having problems with the baby as he was fussing.

He chuckled that it was so funny because Oliver was just fine when he took him in his arms. “He was quiet and just, like, right in his comfort zone, He was just a joy to be around,” Greg Vaughan revealed.

The fine actor then went on to reveal that while it is amazing to act opposite real babies, it isn’t always the case.

Sometimes they have to film with dolls wrapped in blankets, or even just say their lines to empty cribs. “It was the longest-running joke on set, carrying the baby doll around in a blanket,” Greg laughed.

He recalled the many times he had to bend over and speak to empty cribs and carries, and be like ” Oh, great. Where’s the baby?!”

But, it is part of the job he feels. And hey, he does it so well! All his scenes, with or without the real baby, were super realistic and emotional!

Perhaps, the realism comes from the fact that he is a great dad in real life, that too to three children! Moreover, Greg admitted that he loves being a dad, and he loves children in general!

Well, we really hope that Greg and Oliver get to do more scenes together as Eric and Jude in the future!
