Actress Jessica Serfaty, who played Sloan on Days of Our Lives, has retracted the claims that she made on social media accusing her fiancé, Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, of abuse.
The Daily Mail reported that on the evening of July 21, Serfaty posted a clip to her Instagram Stories where she quickly panned her camera over to Del Vecchio before tearfully announcing: “This is the man who has abused me. And let it be known… who has caused my head to have… bleeding.”
However, the following day, Serfaty posted a photo of herself posing in a bikini on a yacht as well as a statement retracting her previous claims.
“Leo and I apologize for any who were triggered or affected by yesterday’s story,” she wrote. “Sometimes a family can have their own argument and these should never be made public.
“We ask that people respect our privacy at this time,” the actress continued. “I would never stay with an abusive man and which Leonardo Del Vecchio is not.
I revoke my words that were driven by anger and not in truth. I take back my words on a guy that will always be my companion, stepfather, and family person to me.”
A former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, Serfaty joined the cast of DAYS in August 2022 as shady attorney Sloan Petersen and last aired on June 3, 2024, when the character’s lies caught up with her and she skipped town.
She reportedly first met Del Vecchio — the billionaire Ray-Ban heir — back in 2017 at the Cannes Film Festival and after years of friendship, a romance blossomed.
The couple announced their engagement in July 2023, and are presumably continuing to plan their upcoming wedding.
