General Hospital Fans Celebrate Jason And Sam’s Wedding Anniversary Amid Kelly Monaco Firing
This year marks the 11th anniversary of the unforgettable Sam and Jason wedding on General Hospital. Amid Kelly Monaco’s firing, “Jasam” fans reminisced about the supercouple’s nuptials.

The wedding of Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) was unconventional, much like the supercouple themselves.
After Jason proposed with a lugnut in lieu of a ring, everyone prepared for their big day on September 22, 2011.
Due to their loved ones’ insistent wedding planning, the couple took off to their favorite restaurant in Port Charles: Noodle Buddha, where they unexpectedly tied the knot.
After the ceremony, they were given statues of a dragon and a phoenix as a symbol of their union.
Fans Celebrate
Amidst posts in support of Monaco, who was recently let go from GH, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their memories of the Jasam wedding.
“One of GH‘s best weddings for one of their best couples ever!” one fan wrote, while another commented on their very “them” attire.
“As dressed down as they were Jason and Sam still had one of the BEST daytime tv weddings.”
“The wedding we had been waiting for #JaSam the dragon to her Phoenix!” a Monaco fan posted with the GH preview of the wedding, topping it off with emojis of a dragon and fire along with the hashtag #IStandWithKelly.
“@kellymonaco1 is the Phoenix and will rise again!!” the same fan wrote in another post to celebrate the wedding, hinting at Monaco’s firing.
