How General Hospital Foreshadowed Sam’s Fate

Rumors of how Sam will exit General Hospital have been swirling for weeks, but the October 15, 2024 episode may have foreshadowed exactly how the fan-favorite leaves Port Charles.

Isaiah’s Story

Now that Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) is up and out of bed, he paid a visit to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) at the nurse’s station.

They caught up and she told him that she wasn’t sure where Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) was after learning he wasn’t a match to save Lulu, and that was when Isaiah shared some more of his backstory.

Previously a surgeon, Isaiah revealed what made me from a practicing doctor to aiding refugee camps. “I walked away from my practice, Elizabeth,” he admitted.

“There was a surgery that didn’t go as planned. I mean, you learn in med school that sometimes people die on the table. It’s a fact of the job.”

Isaiah went on to explain how he relates to Lucky’s urge to run away when things get hard, but that wasn’t the only takeaway from their conversation.

What It Means For Sam

GH is known for foreshadowing upcoming storylines, most recently when Elizabeth mentioned her brother Steve just before news of Scott Reeves’ return broke and the infamous Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jason (Steve Burton) kiss after their constant interactions brought them closer and closer.

With Sam (Kelly Monaco) finding out she’s a match for Lulu and a rumor of the character exiting the show by being killed off, it’s easy to assume Isaiah’s story was hinting at the way Sam will be written out.

Whether it’s Isaiah or the recently returned Lucas (Van Hansis) doing the surgery, it’s obvious things will go south on the operating table.
