General Hospital Spoilers: Genie Francis Is Thrilled Over This Latest Development

The actress, just like the rest of the daytime television world, is beyond excited to have Jonathan Jackson back on the canvas.

It was recently announced that the actor is returning to reprise his role as Lucky.

Genie, who isn’t on social media very much, took to her X account to write, “Dear sweet Jonathan Jackson, this show is so lucky to have you back. I am overjoyed! Can’t wait to work with you again.”

Of course, many of her social media followers sure did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some of them commented on Genie’s post with, “I hope Lucky is the reason Lulu will make a triumphant return to #GH.”

I hope they have a good story for you and him. Will it be worth watching.”

Another fan wrote, “I have missed him as Lucky, but have been overjoyed to binge him in Nashville and seeing and hearing his wonderful musical ability.”

“I cannot wait to see you both reunited! So long overdue!!”

As many soap fans can recall, Jonathan was only 11 when he first starred in his role as Lucky back in 1993.

This comes as the producers also announced that actor Bryan Craig is returning to reprise his role as Morgan Corinthos as well.

Jonathan currently lives in Ireland full-time with his wife Lisa and their family. Back in 2021, he was asked by Soap Opera Digest whether or not he would consider returning to General Hospital. At the time, he was unsure because of the ongoing pandemic.

He said, “Logistically, it certainly becomes more difficult to figure out [coming back to GH], not only living in Ireland but on top of that, with the travel restrictions and those complications, it makes it very difficult.”
