A General Hospital Blast From the Past Could Mean a Farewell for a Port Charles Fave

Sometimes, the right opportunities come at the wrong times. That’s kind of what happened on General Hospital today when Blaze was given an offer to open for music superstar Miguel Morez’s world tour. While she hasn’t taken it, so far Kristina has told her to go, Brook Lynn hasn’t turned it down yet and Natalia is pushing to make it happen. (You can read today’s recap here.)

This could be a huge bump in Blaze’s career, though leaving Kristina now, after her fall would be a huge blow.

At the same time, Kristina’s been doing her best to push her girlfriend away and there may only be so much Blaze can take before she throws up her hands and calls the relationship quits.

And leaving the show by going on a tour wouldn’t be a first for General Hospital… Just ask Miguel.

For those who haven’t been watching since the mid ‘90s and may not remember, Miguel Morez was played by real-life musical superstar Ricky Martin. Miguel and Lily were teen sweethearts back in Puerto Rico.

He, though, fled the island when Lily’s mobster dad put a hit out on him, only for the two to reunite years later in Port Charles. (Shortly after, they also reunited with their son, Juan, who had been given up for adoption.)

Michael worked at Kelly’s for a time before signing onto Sonny and Brenda’s record label and leaving the show to go off on tour.

He was never seen in Port Charles again, though he has been mentioned from time to time. In fact, this isn’t the first time Miguel’s been mentioned in recent years, as he was, apparently, one of scummy music producer Linc Brown’s clients.

Really, he and Blaze have had a connection since she first appeared on the show, so it makes a certain amount of sense that they would connect and go on tour together.

That doesn’t mean she’ll end up going, but it wouldn’t be the first time Jacqueline Grace Lopez exited the show. Back in April of last year, she and Blaze took a bow from General Hospital for several months, only returning in September of last year.

That’s some good news if she does take Miguel up on the offer, as there would always be the chance that she could return to Port Charles once again.

With that said, tomorrow’s previews have a ticked off Alison yelling at someone that they’re fired, so while we’ve been focused on Blaze, this could also mean the end of another character instead — like her mom, Natalia!
