General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) apparently took matters into his own hands by murdering FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) in cold blood right outside the Quartermaine family boathouse.
It’s still unclear at the moment if Sonny actually shot Cates or if it was some kind of dream or hallucination. Because if Sonny actually shot Cates in the open like that, there’s going to be a lot of questions.
General Hospital Spoilers – John Cates Is Dead… Or Is He?
Assuming everything happened exactly the way viewers saw, then Sonny will have a body on his hands. He’s not at the Pine Barrens or someplace where it’s easy to dispose of a body. That means it’s only a matter of time before the authorities discover that Cates was murdered.
Sonny will be the obvious suspect, but not the only one. Sonny will likely use Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) or Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) as an alibi, but then suspicion will fall on someone very close to Sonny.
GH Spoilers – Kristina Corinthos-Davis Took One Of Sonny Corinthos’ Guns
Not long before Sonny confronted Cates, his daughter Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) took her mother, Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) keys and went to Sonny’s apartment where she took one of his guns.
From the spoilers for next week, it looks like Kristina plans to kill herself. Someone will certainly show up and talk her out of it, or maybe she’ll realize it on her own that she still has plenty to live for.
But Alexis won’t know that, and once news gets out that Cates was murdered, she may believe Kristina killed him.
General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis Confesses To Murder!
Since Alexis threatened Cates in front of witnesses at the police station only hours before, police will likely believe Alexis if she confesses to killing Cates to save Kristina. If that happens it will put Sonny in quite a bind.
He knows that Alexis didn’t murder anyone, but would he let her take her chances in court or would he step up and confess to the crime himself? Things are about to get a lot more complicated for Sonny and those around him in the coming weeks.
