Sister Wives: Mykelti & Tony Padron Announce Move To North Carolina!
During a live stream on YouTube on June 14, Mykelti announced that she and her family are moving from Utah to North Carolina. However, the TLC star did not disclose the reasons behind the sudden move, leaving fans curious.
A Redditor speculated that Mykelti might address the reasons in her future videos, suggesting the move could be related to a potential Sister Wives’ spin-off or a job opportunity.
The upcoming season of Sister Wives is anticipated to shed light on Mykelti in the process of leaving her home. Moreover, it is also speculated to document her pregnancy journey with her twins, Archer and Ace.
However, the camera crew was unable to capture the birth of the twins due to permission issues with the hospital. Mykelti and Tony are also parents to their daughter, Avalon.
In the live stream, Mykelti shared, “We’re moving to North Carolina!” Her husband Tony Padron added, “We’re gonna move out of Utah. We’re going to move to the great state of North Carolina. We haven’t really told anyone in the Internet universe.” He explained that they decided to sell their home in Utah because the move was “very expensive.” Tony added, “The whole packing has started so it’s going to be a lot.”
Addressing the fact that her cousin Madison also lives in North Carolina, Mykelti clarified, that she and her family aren’t moving “specifically to be close to Maddie.” She added, “But it’s just, like, a really nice benefit [that] our kids are going to get some cousins around them. So that’s exciting.” Mykelti and Tony share three children.
Sister Wives: Christine Brown Is Extremely Sad About Mykelti Leaving
The Sister Wives star also spoke candidly about Christine’s feelings regarding her move. Known for being a hands-on grandmother, Christine is understandably struggling with the idea of being away from her grandchildren. “Let’s not talk about it!” Tony jokingly remarked. “My mom, she is happy for our adventure,” Mykelti added. “She supports our choices because we’re doing it for us, as a family, but she’s also extremely sad that we’ll be leaving her.”
She continued, “There’s a lot of feelings there. So we’re doing as much as we can to hang out with my family— my mom and [her husband] David [Woolley] and the kids on this side, and my siblings and Tony’s family. We’re trying to hang out and get in as much time as possible because it will get a lot harder as we get further away and stuff.” Tony also shared insights into his mother’s reaction, saying, “My mom’s not taking it well, either.”
