The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Is B&B Recasting Taylor Hayes or Bringing On a Brand-New Female Character?

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the show recently put out an interesting casting call, so let’s talk about what they’re looking for. According to Soap Hub, there’s a female contract role up for grabs – and the character name is supposedly going to be “Sabrina.”

B&B wants an actress in the 45-50 age range to play this strong and sophisticated woman.

They’re on the hunt for a leading lady who’ll no doubt take center stage in plenty of new storylines since she’ll be on contract.

Soaps often disguise the names on casting calls, especially if they’re recasting a character who already exists.

With that in mind, this description of a strong and sophisticated woman sounds a lot like Taylor Hayes (last played by Krista Allen).

Taylor certainly fits those requirements, so it’s possible the show’s going to recast Taylor. That said, the age range is perhaps a strike against the idea.

Hunter Tylo is 61, so B&B already turned back the clock a bit when they brought on Krista Allen, who is currently 53.

Compare that to 62-year-old Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) and it just seems weird to search for another Taylor Hayes who’s even younger than Allen was.

Why would they specifically put a 50-year-old cap on the role?

That said, stranger things have happened behind the scenes, so it’s at least worth speculating on this contract role being a Taylor Hayes recast.

Of course, it’s also possible the show intends to recast another existing character.

There might be someone from the past with Forrester, Logan or Spencer connections who could pop back up in Los Angeles with a fresh look.

Then again, there’s a chance this is a brand-new character who’ll ultimately make a splash and shake up all the core families.

Whether this woman turns out to be connected to any of those families or not, she might be someone that fans have never seen in any form.

Bottom line, the show’s searching for a new leading lady who’s 45 to 50 years old, so we’ll see if she’s truly “Sabrina” or someone else once she finally makes it to the screen.
