Earlier this year CBS and Proctor & Gamble announced a collaboration with the NAACP, and revealed they were launching the first new daytime soap opera in decades.
The Gates is set to follow a wealthy African-American family living in a gated and posh community.
CBS’ new soap opera is set to premiere in January 2025, and the network is being tight-lipped on casting. Rumor has it there will be some serious heavy-hitters joining the Gates cast, and some of them are leaving their current shows to do so.
The Young and the Restless fans are currently in an uproar because of rumors that Christel Khalil is headed to Gates and abandoning the role of Lily Winters Ashby.
