Eric has NO Bad Blood with Doug
The Young and the Restless fans have always assumed that Eric and Doug’s opposing political affiliations soured their relationship.
However, the CBS soap icon portraying Victor Newman recently uttered touching some words about his longtime friend, Doug.
Braeden responded to a fan comment that suggested their political differences would affect their friendship.
He replied, “Hahahaha! Dougie will always be my friend, no matter how much we differ politically!”
Moreover, Eric hopes Doug heads back to Genoa City, saying, “We all miss his humor!”
In response, the beloved actor behind Paul Williams shared a smiling face with a heart emoji. We think this sweet exchange of words was enough to ward off any trolls, right?
Their bond clearly goes beyond politics. Meanwhile, this generous act comes on the heels of Davidson’s speculated Y&R comeback.
Paul’s daughter Heather Stevens’s recent passing has shaken Genoa City to the core.
Her loved ones, particularly her ex, Daniel, are struggling to grapple with the loss. The poor guy talked to Paul, over the phone to share the devastating news.
Will Daniel’s emotional plea to have him back work? Daniel’s reactions seemed very encouraging, but there has been no official word yet.
However, Eric’s post welcoming Doug hints at the possibility of Paul, who’s been living off-screen in Portugal, reentering the canvas. As for Davidson, he hasn’t exactly dropped any clues about making a Y&R comeback.
So, that leaves us with two possibilities here that: either Paul decides to keep staying away. Or he makes his grand return, but we only hear about it through other Genoa City folks!
