While Victor places his trust in Adam’s ability to be as ruthless as his father, there are additional considerations to ponder beyond a mere willingness to exhibit no mercy.
Although Adam may willingly engage in acts of cruelty against a random adversary or someone he despises just as much as Victor does, here’s the real question.
Would Adam genuinely support a strike by Victor against Jack- Adam regards Jack as a friend who has come through for him in crucial moments.
Moreover, Victor’s motive for pursuing Jack appears rather weak. The situation might have been different if Jack had actively targeted Newman Enterprises or intentionally sought to harm someone in Victor’s family.
Y & R Spoilers – Jack Abbott Took A Risk For Nikki Newman
Instead of playing it safe, Jack risked it all by combining pills and alcohol in front of Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Despite the scare it caused when Jack passed out, it ultimately led to Nikki realizing she needed help; Victor’s anger towards Jack seems unwarranted given the positive impact on Nikki. Adam might intervene to help Victor see reason once he knows the whole truth.
Adam probably isn’t too keen on the idea of going against Jack, especially with Jabot being involved.
Marchetti is linked to Jabot, and to add to the drama, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has just taken over as the creative director in place of Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Would Adam Newman Betray His Own Father?
Adam’s concerns about the potential repercussions of his actions at Jabot on Marchetti, and subsequently on Sally and Chelsea, are valid. If Marchetti suffers, it could jeopardize Sally’s current position and even Chelsea’s future job prospects.
Adam might also consider the impact on Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), but Victor may argue that they can safeguard Marchetti or initiate a similar venture at Newman Enterprises, with Summer leading the way.
Regardless, Adam is bound to notice numerous warning signs in Victor’s plan; the question remains: will he ultimately betray his own father? Even if Adam merely gave Jack a heads-up of Victor’s plans, in Victor’s eyes that would still be a betrayal!
