The Young and the Restless’ Courtney Hope Talks Sally & Nick’s Enduring Flame – ‘I Think She Still Loves Him’
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has finally found stable ground in her relationship with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but it may not be long until things turn shaky again.
Y&R fans know Adam has been growing closer to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) lately – and Sally has definitely noticed!
Although Sally is trying to have faith in her second chance with Adam, part of her may be wondering if he wants another chance with Chelsea instead.
There’s the potential for Adam, Chelsea and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to all become a family once more now that Connor’s OCD storyline has brought them together.
Of course, there’s also the possibility of some cheating that could pave the way for that.
If Adam betrays Sally with Chelsea or Sally at least fears a betrayal is coming, that may rock the boat big time.
Could it be enough to send Sally back in Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) direction? In a new interview with SOD, Courtney Hope opened up about Sally’s relationship with Nick and what it brought to her character’s life.
Hope talked about how much she loved the safety that Nick brought to Sally’s world since she’s never completely had that before.
In Hope’s opinion, Nick was someone “who made Sally want to be better and make good choices.”
What happens if Adam cheats and leaves Sally thinking she picked the wrong Newman brother? Could Sally and Nick reunite or at least be pulled back into bed together for a while?
Regardless, Courtney Hope made a major admission about Sally’s heart and Nick’s lingering mark on it.
“I think she still loves him…I think she’s so awestruck by his generosity and his maturity through the whole thing because she obviously broke his heart, and broke it with his brother, so that has to be like a double whammy,” Hope said.
Despite that heartbreak, Nick remains compassionate and continues to show Sally kindness, so Hope reiterated that Sally still has plenty of love left for her ex.
Naturally, that doesn’t negate the love Sally feels for Adam or necessarily mean that Sally will have a romantic Nick reunion.
Nevertheless, the door’s open for something else to happen between Nick and Sally down the road.
