Apparently, Matt had just returned from a trip to Casco, a well-known winery in Mendoza, Argentina. The man brought back a ton of stuff, enough to throw a Super Bowl party or even a wedding. However, Katrosar FORGOT to bring the very thing Egan asked for- wine!
She didn’t hide her frustration and mimicked her husband’s apology, “Sorry, I actually did forget… the wine.” Additionally, the soap legend ends with a sarcastic smile.
Meanwhile, Matt stayed mum, probably realizing the gravity of his mistake. Let’s face it: Given Casco’s reputation for its wines, Melissa’s disappointment is quite valid, right? We can only hope that Melissa forgives Matt for this blunder and they enjoy some good wine on their next date.
Back to the CBS soap, viewers know that Melissa’s character, Chelsea Lawson, has quite a backstory. Created by head writer Maria Arena, Chelsea first landed on the show on November 11, 2011.
Chelsea started as a mystery woman involved with Billy Abbott, played by Billy Miller. She was a con artist and “bad girl” but gradually evolved into a more loving and complex character. Furthermore, Chelsea was pregnant with Billy’s child and eventually gave up her parental rights.
The character later started a romance with Adam Newman as part of a significant storyline. It has also gained a lot of fan support. And get this: Melissa Claire Egan’s portrayal of Chelsea has been well-received. The soap icon even earned her Daytime Emmy Award nominations in 2013, 2014, and 2021.
