Young & Restless Game-Changer: Victor’s Twisted Revenge Plot Forces Nikki to Do the Unthinkable

Victor’s doing Victor things on Young & Restless, and no one anywhere near the Jack revenge scheme is safe. As always, some unlucky individuals will become collateral damage, but in this case, the Mustache’s machinations may create a situation that no one, including the characters involved, would ever have imagined!

The Black Knight’s family members are well aware that something is afoot, they just don’t know what exactly he’s up to.

Well-versed in the dance steps to the Victor Shuffle, they’re waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak, when it comes to the reason behind the changes he’s made at Newman Enterprises and Newman Media.

As a result of Victor essentially pushing Nikki out of Newman Media to install Adam, Victoria was guilted into returning to Newman Enterprises to act as co-CEO alongside Nicholas well before she was ready.

Their first order of business? Trying to find out what or who Dear Ol’ Dad is targeting… and they already suspect Adam knows more than he’s saying.

Adam, of course, will know better than to cross his father and spill the beans, so Victoria and Nick will likely remain in the dark. Nikki, meanwhile, is furious that she’s been delegated to sitting on the sidelines.

Her biggest concern? That an opportunistic Adam won’t be willing to hand back the reins at Newman Media once she’s finished her out-patient treatment for alcoholism.

As the audience knows, her out-patient treatment is only a convenient cover for the real reason Victor wanted Adam to take over… he needs the person helming the media division to do his bidding and help advance his agenda, which is taking down Jack and Jabot.

If he were to attempt to persude Nikki to promote Glissade in an effort to damage Jabot Cosmetics, she’d smell exactly what he was cooking and would shut it down.

Adam, on the other hand, has agreed to step in, believing it will put him in a position to actually help Jack, who has been a friend and father figure to him at times in the past.

That’s a tricky proposition at best, particularly given that he’s shown part of his hand to his dad already by declaring that he won’t be a hired gun to hurt the Abbott.

Nonetheless, the deal was struck, and Adam’s about to return to his old stomping grounds. The pinchy part? He has no idea what’s in store for him after the “mission” is complete.

It’s been made clear that Nikki plans to retake the reins at Newman Media, and Victoria has taken Adam’s place at Newman Enterprises… so what’s to become of him?

Nikki, meanwhile, has talked about nothing except her fear that Adam will refuse to hand Newman Media back to her when the time comes. So, we have an interesting situation developing. They both need answers… that only each other may be able to provide. Let us explain…

Nikki is in a unique position to glean information from Victor… she has the inside track with her husband.

What if Adam were to offer her his assurance that he would vacate his position at Newman Media without creating a stink if she, in return, agrees to find out what Victor has planned for him down the road?

“But,” you’re thinking, “Nikki wouldn’t lift a finger to help Adam.” Very true. It’s virtually unthinkable. But, she may hold her nose and do it if it guarantees he’ll give up the CEO position at Newman Media without a fight.

Unfortunately, even if hell freezes over and Nikki strikes some kind of deal with Adam, she’s unlikely to get the answers he’s seeking. Victor plays things incredibly close to the vest and, as Young & Restless loves to tell us, he is already ten chess moves ahead of everyone else… meaning he’s likely to see this coming.

Bottom line: If Nikki were to enter into an agreement with Adam, we’d watch out of pure fascination over something we never thought we’d see happen!
