The Young and the Restless Courtney Hope’s Emotional Daytime Emmy Win – Dedicates Award to Families of Lost Children
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Courtney Hope scored a big win at the Daytime Emmys for her role as Sally Spectra on the CBS soap. Hope took home the statuette in the Supporting Performance In A Daytime Drama Series: Actress category and left so many people proud.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester on B&B) and Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton on B&B) are Hope’s former costars from her days on The Bold and the Beautiful, so it was great that they were the presenters who announced her victory.
Once Hope took the stage, she was clearly overwhelmed in the best possible way and ran down the list of the many people she wanted to thank – including her powerhouse scene partners, Mark Grossman (Adam Newman) and Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman).
Hope also thanked Y&R Head Writer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith for trusting her with the gripping material she was given.
It’s clear that Courtney Hope wanted to give her all to such an important storyline.
Fans will recall that Sally lost her baby girl and had a rough time in the aftermath, so Hope’s portrayal of grief helped her pull off this exciting win.

“And I really want to dedicate this to anyone who has lost a child in whatever capacity,” Hope said.
“To my older brother Danny, I love you so much. Thank you for reminding me to be the fighter that you always told me that I was.”
Hope has opened up about the loss of her older brother on Maurice Benard’s (Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital) State of Mind show before, so she gave Danny that sweet shout-out before continuing her dedication.
“And to every child who has passed on from this human experience, I pray that you continue to bring peace and healing to the families – your loved ones – that will always keep the light on in their hearts for you,” Hope said before wrapping things up.
