The Young and the Restless

Young And The Restless spoilers: Jack plots to destroy Victor’s alliance with Kyle

The Young and the Restless  for Wednesday, August 21, find a Jack who is fed up with Victor manipulating his son and with Kyle being stupid enough to fall for it, time after time. Jack might as well use Kyle’s stupidity against him — as Victor does.

Young & Restless Recap: Kyle Warns Jack and Diane Their Feud Will Get Worse

Spare the Rod

From the time Kyle (Michael Mealor) first returned to Genoa City on this last go-around, Victor (Eric Braeden) has been using the boy as a tool against Jack (Peter Bergman). Jack tried to step back and let his son make his own mistakes.

But Kyle just keeps making them and making them and never learning a thing. At this rate, Harrison (Redding Munsell — who had this fun BTS.) will play his dad as well as anyone else does.

Jack needs to make Kyle see, once and for all, that he is really, really bad at thinking for himself. Time to make him see what a fool Victor has made of him.

The Little Woman

Victor put Kyle and Audra (Zuleyka Silver — who recently got special support.) in charge of Glissade so that they could challenge Jabot.

He put Adam (Mark Grossman) in charge of Newman Media so he could pretend to be an impartial journalist while, in reality, doing the bidding of the guy pulling his money strings. (You know, like all media in the real world.)

Victor needed to fire Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to give that job to Adam. But instead of seeing it as yet another example of how Victor treats her like a child, at best — calling her “My baby” should have been her first hint — and a pet, at worst.

Nikki, instead, is determined to prove her worth to Victor, no matter what. So when she gets some inside information from Lily (Christel Khalil) about Billy (Jason Thompson), Nikki goes running to her husband. What a great businessman he is!
